Independence Day

1st Jul 2016

Independence Day, better known as July the 4th to most in the United States is the day we claimed our independence from Britain and democracy was born. It is a federal holiday. One which commemorates the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. The Congress declared the thirteen American colonies considered themselves as the United States of America and no longer a part of the British empire.

Freedom has not come easy. Every day thousands leave their homeland to come to America, the home of the free and brave to begin their American dream for themselves but, more so for their children. The U.S. is a beautiful and diverse country made up of incredible people – yes, we are blessed.

We all commonly relate the 4th of July with picnics, barbeque, parades, fireworks, baseball games, and reunions. At Educational Outfitters and Academic Outfitters, we also associate the National day of the United States by preparing for our back to school season. Our stores are hopping with activity after July 4th. We can’t wait to see you in our store shopping for your back to school uniform and dress code needs. Shop early to ensure your students items will be in stock and avoid the mad dash!

Have a safe and Happy 4th of July!
